Please begin by watching the video below. As I said in class, the video should appeal to the procrastinator and the non-procrastinator. After watching, please comment about the type of procrastinator you are and how it effects your life particularly with school. What are some techniques that you have used before to help combat procrastinating? Have you heard of any that you would like to try?
I am a planner by nature. I don't procrastinate especially when there are deadlines as Urban discusses. But, I am to some extent the type of person who procrastinates when there aren't deadlines, and I am not good at having balance between work and family life. I tend to procrastinate on spending time with my mom and nurturing my hobbies. After I watched this video I realized that I needed to to a better job of having balance in my life or I would regret some of my choices. I now leave work early several days a week and go have coffee and knit. I have worked really hard the last six months to make plans and spend more time with my mom. I don't have specific techniques except remembering that these things are as important to me as my job - maybe even more so. I'm not perfect, but I am better than before. I - like all people - am a work in progress.
